Heritage Fest is a free, family-friendly event that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of the Arlington Heights community. Held on the grounds of the Arlington Heights Historical Museum at 110 W. Fremont Street, the festival brings together local cultural organizations for a morning of live performances, hands-on exhibits, and international food. Past performers have included Dan Kusaya's World Music, Aztec Dance Group Teotleculli, Barefoot Hawaiian, the American Aid Society of German Descendants, Grupo Folklorico Quetzal, Hogan Irish Dance, Black History Dancers, the ODUM School of Bandura (Ukrainian), and Students of Devaki Janakiraman (Indian).

The event is presented as a collaboration between the Arlington Heights Park District, the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, and the Village of Arlington Heights. Attendees can explore cultural exhibits, enjoy live music and dance performances, and sample cuisine from a variety of traditions. The nearby Farmers Market, held just steps away, offers additional food and local products for purchase.

Heritage Fest runs from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating on the museum's two-acre grounds. The museum itself, founded in 1967, consists of a cluster of five historical structures and offers guided tours on Saturdays. This is one of the village's signature community events that connects residents to the diverse cultures that make Arlington Heights home.
