Swing Into Spring is the Village of Arlington Heights' way of shaking off winter and getting people outside again. The event is a two-parter: the Community Bike Ride kicks off with day-of registration at 9:45 a.m. and the ride starts at 10:15 a.m. You can choose between a 12-mile tour of Arlington Heights or a four-mile starter loop, with route guidance from the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, the Arlington Heights Bike Club, and AHPD bike patrol.

The Swing Into Spring festival runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is built for all ages — inflatable games, a swing ride, bubble entertainment, temporary tattoos, spring crafts, flower potting, and live music. The Arlington Heights Memorial Library brings its Bookmobile, and the Fire Department and Police Department both show up with vehicles and staff. Food is available for purchase on-site.

The event is free and open to the public. Bring your own bike and helmet for the ride. North School Park is located at 307 N. Dunton Avenue, with parking available on surrounding streets. The Village of Arlington Heights Special Events Committee coordinates the event in partnership with the Bike Club and BPAC. Note that rides and entertainment end at 2 p.m., but lines may close early to let everyone waiting get a turn.
