Autumn Harvest

Autumn Harvest is a free, family-friendly fall festival at North School Park, located at the corner of Evergreen Avenue and Eastman Street in Arlington Heights. Organized by the Village of Arlington Heights Special Events Commission and the Arlington Heights Park District, the event celebrates the season with activities for all ages. Highlights include hayrides, a petting zoo, kids' crafts, pumpkin decorating, face painting, balloon artists, photo opportunities, and live music with dancing.

The Scarecrow Decorating Contest is a centerpiece of the event. Registration takes place at 11:00 a.m. on the day of the event, and prizes are awarded at 2:00 p.m. Straw, a stand, and basic decoration items are provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own clothing and accessories to customize their scarecrow. Food is available for purchase from local vendors — past events have featured Garibaldi's Pizza, Kori's Koop Food Truck, Poppin T's Kettlecorn, and AJz Kettlecorn.

Autumn Harvest runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026. No tickets or registration are required to attend. North School Park is an easy walk from downtown, and street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.
